Description
The project aims at preventing saline water intrusion from Arabian sea and there by
protecting the agricultural lands scattered in various panchayath including Velom
and Cheruvannur panchayath as wellas in the areas of vadakara panchayath.it
plays a major role by assuring the drinking water availability provided by the KWA
pumping stations at koorankode near Gulikapuzha Bridge. The RCB connects the
Cheruvannur panchayath and Velom panchayath.it helps in providing irrigation for
an ayacut area of 1720 hectare.
